Client 1- We noticed my company had a very attractive Venture Capital Backed success story. We found over 100 VC backed clients and was able to find which VC’s we had the most successes with. We then found the other companies they represented and worked on adding them to our roster. Then we took this approach to every VC in the company.
Client 2- We read about the patent for Viagra expiring in 2018. This meant there would be stiff competition to become the low cost alternative. We presented the opportunity to a sales team for this sensitive subject and found a few companies that would be great leads. We went after them with ideas based around our inventory and finally got our first ED company ever to advertise with our media. They purchased our most expensive property.
Client 3- A popular shoe company had been a client of ours for almost a year when we learned they had a new round of funding plus a desire for a brick and mortar. We put together a proposal pitching our offering as a “new age brick and mortar” in a way to get them to try a new product of ours with the new funding they had. We were able to upsell new inventory and get them to expand contract length longer.
Client 4- When reading through the NYC Permit Office open applications we saw a new event being hosted in Times Square. It was a sports show that aired live each Saturday. They had not announced the location of the live broadcast in Times Square yet but seeing the permit we acted on the trigger. We put out a 1-sheet recognizing the bonus value of being on live television during a national broadcast. This was sent to a competitor of one of the broadcast sponsors. They ran an ad campaign piggybacking on all the TV spend at a fraction of the price.
